Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our team. As a Revenue Cycle Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our healthcare organization. Your expertise in healthcare and medical management will be essential in ensuring accurate and timely billing, coding, and reimbursement processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the revenue cycle process, including billing, coding, and collections
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure proper documentation and coding
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
- Submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on outstanding claims
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or denials
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate charge capture
- Stay updated on industry regulations and changes in healthcare reimbursement policies
- Provide training and support to staff regarding revenue cycle processes
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in revenue cycle management within a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding, and reimbursement processes
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
